Growing produce

Growing fruit and vegetables is a key part of the year's activities at Bridewell. The connection between nutrition, eating a variety of fresh foods and good physical and mental health is well established, but food production also provides opportunities to learn something new, to build skills, to socialise, to give and share with others.

Some of the produce grown at Bridewell supports our fundraising. Honey, jams, chutneys, relishes are prepared at the gardens and sold at events through the year.

Working with a winery, grapes from Bridewell's organic vineyard are turned into a delicious, traditional sparkling wine available from local retailers and for sale at our Open Days. A great way to celebrate and support the work that happens at Bridewell.
